THE ARTIST

John Dye was born in Glendale, California, and now resides in Ontario, California with his beautiful wife Maria. Together they have three children and nine grandchildren. Dye is a graduate of California State University Los Angeles with a degree in design and fine art.

THE ART

The pieces of J. Dye are a testament to his commitment to take seemingly nothing and make something with the inspiration to document important current events through fine art. This challenges him to take lines, shapes, colors, textures, and repetition and arrange them in a compelling and unique composition.

Inspired by the Lowbrow movement along with found manufactured objects, J. Dye categorizes his art as, “post-industrial impressionism,” laced with humor and intrigue. He wants his art to keep you on your toes.

J. Dye’s intention is to communicate the dichotomy between the intricacies of what humans have produced and the real capacity the earth has to handle the byproducts of the industrial process.
